Kirkburton Rapier Dancers are a Huddersfield based team who perform their own dances in the Yorkshire Longsword tradition. The team dance throughout the year, either at local venues, as the guests of other dance teams or at Folk and Dance Festivals throughout the country. The New Year is always marked by a tour of Kirkburton village on January 1st.

This web site contains details of the history of the Kirkburton dances along with descriptions of some of the dances currently performed. Also included is our Calendar of Events for the year (which will be continuously updated), pictures of the dancers performing and links to sites of similar interest.
